Too small. If you used the earlier versions of isolate they made the tips smaller. Large no longer fits me. It’s like a medium from the old sizes. Very disappointed.

Still mastering how to wear them properly. I'd say I have a ....12-15% rate of fitting the XS size foam into my South East Asian (tiny?) ears...? But have not given up just yet

My son who is 25 and has autism,ADHD,epilepsy and a learning disability always wears earplugs but he either lost them or they get stuck in his ears. However these ones he said are perfect and not expensive. Highly recommended, I might even get myself some.

I work on ships, mostly down in the engine room, where it's loud and hot and I'm constantly having to stick my head around piping and equipment to see what the heck I or someone else is doing. I love these little guys because they don't take up any space outside my ears while still having one of the highest noise reduction ratings around. The sizable foam tips mean my little ear canals don't have to deal with excessive pressure from large disposable foamies, and once they've been worn for an hour or two, they actually slide in and out pretty well without having to compress the foam. (Thanks, earwax?)

Only down side is that the foam does wear out in a few weeks of wear, so when I'm running 8-10 hour days out in the noise seven days a week for a month or more on end, I have to take several replacement sets with me. Normal people who only have to wear them an hour or two a day for their jobs should feel like they last forever.

Also, while their being tiny is great in most cases, I'm really nervous about losing one out of a pocket while I'm crawling around on the equipment, either out on deck or down in the bilges. So I made up a lanyard to connect them, and I actually have the middle of it trapped in my ponytail during the day while I'm working. That way when I can take them out of my ears, they stay attached. Don't mind the weathered appearance - I've been wearing these things when underway (or at the range, or on airplanes...) for like a decade and the cord is almost that old.

They were headlined that they were a return to the original Isolate plugs which were great, but they're not, the originals had a thicker spindle for the foam to sit on, and a wider flare at the end to stop it getting lost in your ear. These have the same spindle as their newer earplug, and I have lost foams in my ear with them. I still had some old foams from my original isolates, after I lost one, and I hoped I could use them again, but no, the hole in them is much larger. SO not as advertised, and even with a fresh foam I fear I am going to lose one in my ear again. The originals were great earplugs, these are not, very disapointed, wont buy again, nor any of their skimpy metal ones. Cheapskating on the design, is just stupid

The small. Not better than isolate 1st one.

I have both original and the mini versions of the isolate ear plugs. (in titanium)
The new Isolate alloy ones are even better. lighter, easier to keep in when putting on a motorcycle helmet.
I think the ear foams will last longer and I think they are more comfortable to wear.
They are my first pick and my riding mate just ordered some.

Had a gig at O'Neills in Cardiff last Friday. Decent sized crowd so noisy. Used the Isolate Pros. Excellent when watching other acts. When on stage they maybe muffled the sound a little, but not a lot. Another band member who did not use any in ears also said that stage sound wasn't as good as the sound out front, so that could have been the issue. Found them very comfortable to use plus the lanyard meant I didn't have to worry about losing them. No ringing ears afterwards and more secure than other types I've tried. Very pleased!

I would not have believed it if I hadn't heard it with my own ears! I am a competitive trap shooter, 12ga. I already have expensive ear protection: electronic ear buds, with several hearing modes and Bluetooth. They work great. BUT: my new Flare Isolate are incredible! As good, if not better than my expensive electronic hearing protection! Effectively deaden the report from my own gun, and the guns around me on the shooting line. I would recommend these without reservation. If you shoot, these are very effective hearing protection. Also: they are tiny, fit snugly, and don't move out of position as you move. Certainly better than earmuffs...

Had the original isolate pros since they first came out. Got the new isolate pros recently. Having the thinner body makes them easier to get in and more comfortable when wearing (more foam/less metal for the equivalent size). All hearing protection that is effective (25db or higher reduction)will roll off the highs and have the occlusion effect. The isolates definitely have a more balanced response than other plugs I’ve tried. I use them when playing in any band with an acoustic drummer and with most live music.

Be careful of any ear plugs that promises to leave the music completely unaffected. They typically have an NRR of 12 db which really isn’t sufficient for loud concerts etc.

I’ve never had any tinnitus when using the isolate pros. Highly recommended!

Already have the isolate mini which I wear when riding my motorbike. Unfortunately I can no longer get the tips so have bought a pair of the new isolate.
They are very similar to the mini though slightly smaller and more fiddly and don’t seem to stay in my ear like the isolate do
Very unhappy that to get tips I have been forced to buy a product that I don’t find as good as my previous from Flare.
Please bring back the tips for the isolate mini

I'm autistic and struggle with noise, already owned the Calmers and decided to pick these up to go to concerts. They are definitely worthy of the price, as I was left with no tinnitus or sensitivity afterwards and could listen to the show with comfort and clarity. The foam tips do get a bit uncomfortable after a few hours, but not too bad.

Really good at blocking sound out at a club

The foam ones work but are not always 100% as they bed in differently. The flare isolators are 100% with careful choice of soft insert, tgey are constantly good at speeds less than 120 mph (I'm not on a race track!!) They let a very small amount in, like a police siren. I have been testing isolators for 6 months I took yhem on holiday did 1500 miles on the Yorkshire dales! They're great!

I used to have a pair of Flare Isolate Mini Pro earplugs, but unfortunately I lost them. I went a long time without a suitable replacement because my ear canals are very small and narrow, and I can barely fit most earplugs in them. These new earplugs are an absolute lifesaver — finally, once again!

The isolates are great. I can't sleep without them. I have 2 pair. One I keep in my travel bag and the other in my bedroom. I don't ever want to be without them.

I’ve been using the Flare Audio ear plugs for years. I guess my current units are gen 1, as they are larger than my new ones that I just received. The smaller size should actually make them more comfortable.

I bought these for my wife who was going on holiday with someone who snores (not me!) She was able to get a good fit with the various sized tips that are provided and was impressed with the size of the stems. When using them, she states that they blocked out the snoring sounds coming from her travel companion. Very impressive considering how she described the snoring the last time they went away!

Very nice ear plugs for concerts and gigs, but a better casing would have been nice. 30% discount started shortly after I ordered. Maybe I will get lucky next time 😀

The Isolate earplugs are very good. I use them for motorcycling and they reduce the wind noise to a very acceptable level while still allowing through just the right amount of growl from my Bonneville T120.
I only wanted some new tips for the Isolate plugs I already had but was told they were discontinued and the tips for them were discontinued. So I ordered some new titanium ones. However, when I received the new ones they were exactly the same size as my old ones. I even got my micrometer and measured them; exactly the same. But I did get 30% discount.

Best I’ve had. I’ve had several custom molded, I’ve had digital electronic custom molded. I’ve used disposable. I put these in and could hear anything. They blocked the noise and shotgun report better than anything I’ve ever had.

I was struggling with the noise at church and needed something to block out the sound but still be able to hear. Isolate was the answer when I was chatting to someone I could hear their voice clearly and the background noice of other talking was drowned out making me calmer. Also the band was perfect to listen to.
