Earshade feels unpleasent to wear, you can‘t talk in them because they distort the way you here your voice, the fitting process is pretty complicated, at least for me they never feel right. Fine for public communication, you can still hear most of the sounds, but at a reduced volume, although I would always choose ANC headphones over it. I am a big fan of Calmer, highly recommend it, but as for earplugs solutions I will unfortunately have to resort to other products, as Earshade was just not it.

At Last! Peace with Earshade

These are the best! Proven invaluable for me with PTSD and most recently for international travel. I would advise purchasers to buy the pro package and also additional ear tip pieces so that you have clean tips to use while travelling. Thanks for making these - it has allowed me to enjoy life without the noise.

Solid sound reduction

I've tried numerous types and styles of earplugs. These are amongst the best I've tried for reducing noise. They are easier to fit than disposable earplugs.
The one downside so far is no option to attach a string or chord to hang these around your neck when not in ear.

Technical Specification

Earshade uses an aluminium/titanium stem with heat reactive memory foam to create a perfect seal and a one size fits all solution. Earshade uses metal stems to block sound, rather than absorb it. This results in higher sound quality and attenuation compared to traditional earplugs that absorb or filter noise.

Yes, every pair of Earshade® comes with a set of replaceable memory foam tips in a matching colour. Replacement tips can also be bought separately, giving you the freedom to mix and match your style.
Memory foam tips generally last about 1 month depending on how they are handled, used, and your body chemistry (earwax, oils, etc.). Naturally, frequent use will shorten their lifespan.
To ensure that your tips last as long as possible, we would recommend that you follow our fitting guides and cleaning instructions.
It is important that memory foam tips are regularly inspected for serviceability and are maintained in accordance with our instructions. Be sure to replace your tips when they start to flake, tear, or lose their memory foam properties (e.g. the foam loses its slow rebound time).

Our earplugs are designed specifically to block sound. Therefore there is a possibility that they will affect your ability to hear other sounds such as alarms, people, or warning systems.
Due to Bone Conduction (being able to hear sound through your skull as well as your ears) you will still be able to hear but at a much lower volume. If you are still unsure, it's best to try them out.
