I've got the old version of the stms since years and I'm absolutely happy wth them. I wanted another pair and appreciate the new smaller ones but these tips are too bog for my ears. I exchanged the shade tips with isolate mini XS and now they are perfect for me.

Why change something that works? Been using the old ones for years, thought I’d lost them at a hotel so ordered these. They hurt so bad when I put them in. Luckily I found the old ones so will keep these as emergency ones if I need to but very saddened to find out the ikd style have been replaced.

I had a set of flare audio plugs from years ago, using the large ear-foams they were a great fit. Went through the original foams and a pack of three replacements. Then lost one, so went to buy a replacement. Have discovered the design disappears so far into my ear even with the large size foams, that the handle digs into my ears and hurts, and it takes two hands or someone else to get it back out. Less than ideal as I teach music in confined spaces, so they go in to play and come out again to speak. These used to be my favourite, now I'm shopping around for another brand again. Old one on the right in the photos, new "large" ones on the left.

Very comfy and effective. However be very careful to not put it too far in your ear, it can be very painful.

Bought this pair to protect my ears in concert. Haven’t had the chance to try them in live concert but in a noisy environment it is already working well so I’m expecting them to do the job in live concert.

One has come damaged and it isn't coming back to it's original shape, but hey they are really great!
Very comfortable, stylish, I even sleep with them, as well as use them anywhere on the tube or in loud spaces.

I often work right next to stage speakers, but my ears are not ringing at all because of these ear plugs. And I can still hear what people are saying around me. It's simply one of my must have tools for working.

I use earplugs for motorcycling and already have Isolate, Isolate Mini and Isolate 2. Once you've found the best size of foam tip, they all reduce wind noise to safe levels whilst allowing you to hear the bike and surrounding traffic. They each have different levels of comfort, becoming uncomfortable after 1 to 2 hours. These ear shades are a big improvement. The tapered shape of the foam means they'll fit a wide range of ears without having to experiment with different sizes. The smaller metal stalk and thicker, squidgier foam means you don't have to push them so far into the ear before the foam expands enough to make a seal. The reduced pressure on the ear canal means they're still comfortable after the 3 hours I've tried them so far, whist gripping better than the old Isolates, staying in place and maintaining the seal. They also seam quieter than the Isolates , which may or may not be a good thing - depending on how much you want to hear.

Great looking and superb noise reduction

I even wear these at night as firmly pushed in, I hear nothing (at night). They also do a great job on noisy public transport like the Paris metro. Never thought it could be louder than the tube in London on certain stretches but I'm sure it is. Plus the colours are funky.

I really feel these dont work much at all. A waste of money sadly.

High-quality material that is aesthetically pleasing. I feel it provides good protection against noise in party/dance/disco environments (I don't use it in noisier environments than this) without compromising the sound quality.

Does what is advertising say

Used for first time when stripping paint from a brick wall with an angle grinder. Metal core seems to make it much easier to get a good fit than just regular foam and I found them comfortable and effective.

Fantastic! Flare audio earplugs rock! I've been using the standard ones for around 5 years and have just recently got these newer ones with a more ergonomic earplug bit.

They fit really well, are super comfy and work brilliantly - even keeping my ears safe and non-ringing after a number of superloud Mogwai gigs! Highly recommend these earplugs - they are fantastic!

These were perfect for on the plane as they blocked out all the surrounding noise on my flight to and from my holiday destination.

Love the calmer plugs and so had high hopes considering the similar shape. Sadly, these were not effective for me. Otherwise, seemed very good quality.

It's one thing to have a pair for yourself and you know they work, it's another to get a pair for a friend or family member and they equally love it
Soft on the ear so there's no uncomfortableness, and gets the job done. Great product!

I followed the instructions to fit these but they didn't work to block out background noise in the office (radio, chat etc).

I've functional neurological disorder and i have sensory symptoms i need to block as much noise as possible
I've spent a fortune on earplugs that don't cut the noise out and got stuck in my ear
I can honestly say the earshade earplugs have helped I can hear to a point I can have a conversation but they cancel loud noise enough to prevent most of my triggers like tics, tremors, tourettes and seizures
I'm going to purchase a spare pair

My daughter has confidently worn it outside and at school to block noise.
She loves the red.
They look like in ear headphones so that's a win too.
She's found this one the most comfortable.
