Best earphones that I have ever owned. Although I have never owned the Flare E-Prototype.......

I am satisfied with Jet Earphones especially in relation to the price-performance ratio. The sound is clean, clear, well spatialised. I use a lot of soundfield recording with binaural microphones and the spatial restitution is very good.
When listening to music, the bass is sometimes too present and I prefer to equalise by lowering the level below 100Hz (or not inserting the earphones deep).

The cable noise drives me crazy. I purchased these primarily for commuting and the tiniest jostling of a cable makes a hugely distracting scraping noise in your ear. Walking is nearly impossible in them due to the noise of the cables. I do not recommend these for use if you are a commuter or plan to use these while in motion. I would like to return them but Just cannot bring myself to pay international shipping for a return. I wish they made a cable cover.
