Soft and comfortable

I live in a city, next to a noisy neighbour. With these, a full night's rest becomes more possible. The soft silicone is easier to wear than the standard ones. However, they tend to fall out easily: one night in two, I need to hunt for one around my pillow in the morning.

Calmer indeed

I bought the original Calmer on a whim to try out years ago - I thought it might help with my tinnitus, it didn't, but I was pleasantly surprised by its effect in loud, stressful environments. But recently lost one of the earplugs, so I ordered these and Calmer Mini to try out as replacements.

They're a great improvement on the original!

They attenuate more noise, which makes them much more useful to me (with Calmer, sounds can still be distracting and stressful). I think the balance is right as they lower the perceived volume of overwhelming sounds, but to get this you do have to compromise on sound quality a little bit. They definitely change the way music and voices sound.

Calmer Night is made of softer material so unlike Calmer, they are comfortable for me to wear all day. No bizarre feeling of something hard in your ears! If you're like me and the "regular" size is too big, but "mini" is too small, the flexibility of the silicone in Calmer Night could be just right for you.

Only minus one star as they're not the perfect size for me, so they do cause some minor discomfort and sometimes fall out. And I wear these during the day and in public, so I wish they came in transparent or other funky colours.

Comfortable

I will buy them again! They do help me with noise, i can focus on conversations and i dont feel overwhelmed if wearing these. For me, Calmer Nights are much more comfortable than the normal ones.

  • CALMER TECHNOLOGY

    Calmer reduces resonance (distortion) by using a tiny waveguide inside our ears that removes the effect of the Concha. The Concha is the small shell shape that connects to our ear canal which normally resonates mid frequency sounds.

    By reducing this resonance, Calmer dampens the most common alert-triggering noises such as phone alerts, dogs barking, tube trains, slamming doors and sudden loud vocal noises. Also, mid frequency sounds have none of their normal painful aspects.
