Mirror Image Sound™
The Problem - Distortion from HRTF Resonance
When sound travels to our ears, it interacts with the complex shape of our head and ears – a phenomenon known as Head-Related Transfer Function (HRTF). This can introduce unwanted resonances and distortions, especially in traditional earphone designs. These resonances colour the audio, blurring detail and altering the original intent of the sound.
Our Solution - Treating Sound Like Light
Just as a mirror reflects light directly and clearly, Flare’s technology creates a precise, unaltered reflection of sound – what we call Mirror Image Sound. By eliminating resonant chambers we avoid the buildup of energy that causes HRTF resonance. The result is sound delivered directly, cleanly, and with perfect symmetry to both ears – just as it was recorded.
