How Does Calmer® Work?
Our ears create distortion—especially in the 2–8 kHz range—due to internal resonance. Calmer® uses a patented waveguide to redirect sound around those pressure points, reducing the sharpness without affecting overall volume.
Who Is Calmer® For?

Calmer® and Misophonia
Calmer® is trusted by people with misophonia to reduce reactions to triggering sounds like eating, tapping, and ambient chatter. While not a medical device, it’s a popular tool for increasing control and comfort in daily life.
Calmer® and Tinnitus
Calmer® was not designed to treat tinnitus, and we don’t advertise it for that purpose. However, some users with sound sensitivity-linked tinnitus have found it helpful in managing their environment. If sharp or chaotic sounds make your tinnitus worse, Calmer® may help by softening those triggers.
