Available in Clear
Small product. Huge audio benefits.
Experience better sound from any direction. earHD 360 greatly improves the audio quality we hear in any situation by reducing distortion in the human ear. Wear under headphones, whilst listening to your home HiFi and at concerts for a clearer sound, increased definition and an upgraded listening experience from all angles.
Available in Clear or Black and polished for a high gloss finish.

A small wearable device
earHD sits barely visible in the ear and uses revolutionary, non-electric technology to reduce mid and high frequency distortion without having a detrimental effect on our hearing.
Place in your ear and give your sound the upgrade of a lifetime. earHD simply reduces distortion (unwanted noise) from our ears that would otherwise be compromising the sound.
earHD is a one size fits majority design and does not affect the characteristics (or colouration) of music, it simply diminishes distortion from our ears.
Uses: Wear under headphones • when listening to home / car stereo • wear at gigs and live music events • when playing a musical instrument • wear throughout the day to minimise distortion and enhance your audio.

How It Works
earHD removes resonance by using a tiny waveguide inside our ears that removes the effect of the Concha. The Concha is the small shell shape that connects to our ear canal which normally resonates mid frequency sounds.
By removing this resonance, mid and high frequency sounds are more refined, have greater detail and lose their harsh, distorted peaks.
“earHD can upgrade a standard pair of headphones into an audiophile experience. It enables you to upgrade your current audio set up without spending a fortune to replace it.”
Davies Roberts, CEO and Inventor.

Using earHD
Here's a graph to show you how earHD is affecting energy in our ears. As you can see, the blue area shows a reduction in unwanted energy (distortion) between the frequencies of roughly 2 kHz - 5 kHz and 8 kHz - 12 kHz when earHD is worn.
The black area (without earHD) shows the natural peaks of energy that result in harsh noises.
By reducing these harsh boosted frequencies, you will hear more detail in your sound.
“We conducted a range of tests on earHD 360 and found it to significantly reduce sound levels at middle to high frequencies (2 kHz – 8 kHz). This successfully meets Flare’s design objective.”

The Problem
earHD is designed to overcome the head related transfer function (HRTF) distortions created inside the human ear. The main issue with the way we hear sound is being able to receive detailed mid and high frequency information at the eardrum accurately as there are two bends (90 degree behind the tragus & 60 degree inner ear canal) to overcome. Humans were never designed to hear higher frequencies, nor did we need to hear them in nature, so our ears never evolved to improve high frequency detail reception. Instead we hear a blur of high frequency information that earHD technology aims to correct.

The Solution
earHD 360 uses an acoustic lens that mathematically reflects sound so that wavefronts remain the same as they reflect off the surface. It is simply a waveguide for sound so that each wavefront (at any frequency) reflects accurately, rather than chaotically in the natural human ear.

What Is HRTF?
Head related transfer function (HRTF) displays how the human ear receives sound from a specific spot. As sound hits the listener, it's affected by many things including the size and shape of our head, outer ear and ear canal, as well as the density of our head and torso. All of which transform sound and affect how it is perceived, boosting some frequencies and attenuating others. On average, the HRTF boosts frequencies from 2 kHz –5 kHz with most resonance at +17 dB at 2,700 Hz.

A Note On Distortion, Resonance and Noise
Resonance creates distortion and therefore adds intrusive 'noise' to what we hear.
The definition of noise is unwanted sound, or sound that is judged to be unpleasant, loud or disruptive to hearing.
This distorted sound loads us negatively. Much like poor diet, pollutants, distorted vision, which all affect our well-being, the sound we hear has the same effect.
