Usually Flare Calmers are really good, but I can’t even get the Performance ones in my ears on the smallest attachment. $40 wasted

I have autism, and those are a game changer! Contrary to earplugs, you hear everything loud and clear but without the awful stressing effect like the echo that otherwise bounces in my head when my partner hits his bowl with a spoon or the hissing shhhhhh of the water through a tap like if the noise was inside my head scratching my brain. The noise is still here, but it does not seem to be as invasive. I could go on about the situations where they are a game changer: road traffic, all metro noises from the breaks to the door alarms and the inconsiderate people who play music or videos out loud, in too loud cinema, the staircase at work with all the doors slapping violently, the canteen, restaurants, cafes, bars... It makes every situation much more tolerable.
As a fellow autistic person already wrote above, I also still have to wear noise-cancelling headphones sometimes, but those help me a lot in social situations.
The only downside is that they are not super discreet and that the little handles get caught in my jumpers and prevent you from answering the phone whilst wearing them.

These are absolutely great. A huge upgrade from the original Calmers (which I love). I have a lot more concentration and feel much more relaxed even in busy environments. They decrease the difficulty of working in my office into the manageable level. They are not quite as comfortable as the original Calmers, although I notice them a lot less after wearing during work time for a few days.
