I was late diagnosed with autism, and have sensory sensitivities, especially regarding sound.
I've tried the original Calmer before.
Helpful, but this Performance product is for me the next level up.
They take the edge off my stress responses to my surroundings, which means I last longer in social gatherings before my brain gets too tired.
I have less stress, anxiety, and I get mentally tired & overwhelmed less quickly.
Such a pleasant surprise and relief for me.
I hope a future model will be softer, as this product hurts my ears a bit when I wear them for longer periods.
Advice and support from the Flare team has been great too.

I have these, along with the regular calmer, the Definition and the earHD earplugs. The memory foam tips are more comfortable than the silicone tips and stay in my ears more securely than the regular silicone Calmer earplugs. There’s a very slight reduction in volume, but otherwise they function the similarly. These are also easier to take out.

The Calmer Performance work well for modulating noise in situations where I am listening to sound performances. They help me to be able to enjoy it more. Have found that my ear canals become sore if I wear them for several hours whereas the regular Calmer stay comfortable all day and consecutive days.
