My husband is very happy with these, they fit well, are comfortable and remove so much of the annoying parts of noises, without making him unable to hear properly or engage with others.

Can’t wear for a long time, but they work so well

I think I basically have a wardrobe of Calmers now, and it’s really made my life less stressful (as long as I remember to wear them!). My last frontier was movie theaters and restaurants: these are the answer. At restaurants music is softened around the edges, utensils on scraping on plates all around me fade a bit, and it’s easier to focus on the bubble of my tablemates. And now I feel less like I’d like to die when I see movies featuring explosions, unnecessarily loud musical scores, and the nacho eaters that always seem to sit right behind me. After about three hours my ears get a little achy, but as a trade off that’s totally fair.

  • CALMER TECHNOLOGY

    Calmer reduces resonance (distortion) by using a tiny waveguide inside our ears that removes the effect of the Concha. The Concha is the small shell shape that connects to our ear canal which normally resonates mid frequency sounds.

    By removing this resonance, Calmer dampens the most common alert-triggering noises such as phone alerts, dogs barking, tube trains, slamming doors and sudden loud vocal noises. Also, mid frequency sounds have none of their normal painful aspects.
