as someone who's insanely sensitive to sound, these work really well. I started off with noise cancelling headphones but now I wish I had started off with these so I didn't become to dependent on my headphones 24/7. however, the calmer pro was really good.

as everyone else has mentioned, it doesn't completely take away sounds, rather it makes them narrower if it makes sense. so the sound is less big and more streamlined so you only hear the most prominent ones. it won't feel much different at first wear but then the longer you wear them the more you realise it's effects. I've yet to test it out outside but I've been wearing them around the house like I would with my headphones and these have worked a charm. I highly recommend!

An upgrade from the Original Calmer

Flare Calmer Pro is much harder because of the piece of aluminium inside. But it does give a better sound compared to the Original Flare Calmer. Therefore I like wearing them when I want to enjoy the sounds of music or watching TV. I can wear them up to 6 hours before they make my ears a bit sore, and I have to take a break. So, I normally switch between Calmer Pro and Calmer Soft/Nude/Orginal Calmer when I'm at home. When I'm outside, I wear a lanyard version of the original Flare Calmer because I don't want to lose my Falre Calmer.
I have small ears, so I always use S-size ear tips for my earbuds/earplugs, but I'm wearing all my Calmer in standard size, and they fit me perfectly.
