Best purchase ever

I have been using the calmer soft for over a year now, and theyre amazing! I use them at work, the shops, restaurants or anywhere it is super loud, with a lot going on. They help me stay focused and not be as overwhelmed in such overstimulating situations. Couldnt go back to not having them. Highly recommend these

If you know what you're buying, you get the expected results

I ordered both the Calmer Standard and Extra version, each once in standard size (as multipack was sold out).
It turns out my instinct was right according to numerous earbuds before where I also typically picked medium (not small) plug sizes.

I had a very dedicated expectation after researching and finding these products.
I have ADHD and probably Autism-Spectrum. So I am very sensitive to sharp loud environments, such as too many people talking at the same time, or a loud environment such as shopping malls.
Therefore I hoped the Standard edition would help me flatten out some sharp and low noise muff from multiple people "discussing" (vividly) around me, waiting rooms etc., and then the Extra edition to filter even 10dB when in louder chaos such as shopping.
My instinct was quite right.
Do NOT expect magic, as this is a piece of silicone, standardized and maybe with certain positive engineered characteristics. It can NOT reduce tinnitus (as some complain and was never claimed), as this is noise from the inside of your hearing system that cannot be blocked from the outside.
I have tinnitus and I never expected that and so I wasn't disappointed.

The Calmer Standard does however modify the spectrum to reduce some high (sharp) and very low tones and reduce their volume, so you as a result hear things a little less sharp and bassy, as the mids and lower hights are still coming through undampened. This is most certainly total nonsense for those not affected by hypersensitive hearing. For me, it did make a difference and help a lot to be able so survive those "chatty" situations.
As for the Calmer Extra, it does the same thing, except it has an extra membrane capsule installed that additionally reduces all frequencies by 10dB (more or less linear). This does the same thing for sensitive people in really annoying situations, such as going shopping in crowded malls.

I am all over satisfied and impressed,
as this all could also have been just a fraud,
but turns out it wasn't.

The only downside is the rather excessive price
and the situation that the UK is outside of the EU
(thanks to Braxit) and therefore any country besides UK
"could" fetch the delivery out of line and demand extra duty at the customs, which in my case happened.
The total of 65,-€ therefore cost an extra 20,-€ at the doorstep.
That is ... quite expensive and frustrating then.
Of course this is not exactly Flame Audio's fault,
but if they had some helper reseller in Europe,
they could distribute it more easily here.

Takes the edge off

Without losing sounds or clarity this helps take the edge off high pitched noises and fits in ear easy enough. I’d be keen to see 30db versions
