Flare were recommended to me post-autism diagnosis.
Have only worn for a couple of days, but immediately noticed a difference in how 'busy' my brain feels. Flare noticeably reduced/changed annoying sounds like electricity whine.
I have very small ears and can never find earplugs/earbuds that fit. "Calm mini" fit perfectly.
I also have Loops (Experience 2 plus, I think), which are good for blocking out loud volume but result in a muffled sound and make conversation difficult. I got the pro Flares because I wanted to reduce noise sensitivity while still hearing clearly - they don't reduce overall volume, but subtly reduced sensitivity while maintaining sound quality (which is exactly what I was looking for).
Two small gripes:
- You have to pay extra / actively select a proper case. My Loops came in a hard plastic case which I think offers much better protection - so I'm using that rather than the soft bag that Flare provided.
- I found the fitting instructions impossible to understand, but managed to figure it out for myself.
