Audio visionaries beat nationwide heavyweights

to bring home 3 Awards for Innovation.

Consumer tech company, Flare Audio, has been recognised for its unique innovations with three prestigious business awards.


Stemming from a drive to re-think audio development ‘from the ground up’, Flare has created a range of products to help improve all areas of audio, leading to its success across 186 countries and earning this family-owned business over 3 million followers on social media.

From distortion minimising earphones to its best-selling product, Calmer, which reduces the stressful frequencies in sound that get us on edge, Flare is making waves across the pro and consumer audio industries. This year the team have seen a 200% increase in sales with its turnover expected to exceed £10m. With only 20 employees, they have over 900,000 customers.

Flare took home the Medium Business Award at the Adur and Worthing Business Awards on November 10th which recognised business development and innovation capabilities.


The company went on to win the Innovation Award at the Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards on November 14th, which highlighted business and entrepreneurs who have truly made an outstanding contribution to British Business.


The star-studded ceremony featured the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt, TV Presenter Naga Munchetty and British Actor David Harewood. Flare was able to beat fierce competition, with the award considering organisations of all sizes and stages of scale that have successfully applied innovation.

Also that night, Flare were announced as Retail Business of the Year at the 2023 British Business Awards. The ceremony recognised the exceptional achievements of small and medium-sized British businesses across all industries.


2023 has been a year of continued success for Flare, which was also awarded 'The best high impact product for neurodiversity' in March 2023 at the BETT (British Educational Training and Technology) Show. This was for the impact its product Calmer is having for the neurodivergent community and those with sound sensitivities. What made this award all the more meaningful was that it was judged by a panel of children.
