Having spent 40 years making records I’ve struggled to find an in ear solution for mixing and mastering. The Studio Masters are the first pair to accurately match my monitoring system and help additionally to hear mixing errors and tonal issues that the monitors overlooked. Just try them and thank me later.
As owning the Flare E Prototype. I was excited to see the next step. The Flare studio master. On receiving my new earphones. The box opening was a stylish and simple experience. The additional silicone and foam tips perfectly fitted. I favoured the medium audiophile foam tips. The sound was highly impressive.
Warm unbloated low end, decisively good bass. The mids personally the star of the show. Good and not overbearing, Leaving the treble to do it's work. Like the E Prototypes you never need a high powered Dac amp to get the best out of these. A perfect combination was with my Hidizs Sonata HD Dac cable. Small and perfect with little weight and clutter. Separation and sound stage was decent. Only one slight gripe was that the Bluetooth adapter was a bit aged. Micro usb port and no LDAC codec support. But to be honest didn't really effect the overall sound quality.
Flare Audio have come up trumps once more. My new favourite IEM/ Earphones. Just an absolute gem to listen too.

Our Story
The very first Flare products came to life at our first Flare HQ – a garage in our founders garden. As a small team of three we designed and built our first loudspeakers and provided PA for gigs and festivals.
It wasn’t long before we ran out of space...
