Good at blocking out annoying frequencies and make a much clearer sound. Difficult to wear in public as they are quite obvious but overall good for people with sensory processing issues.
I got these for my dad who suffers from tinnitus and mild hearing loss. Not sure if he is still adjusting to these, but he had hoped that they would have really upped the game when it comes to Flare products. He mainly uses them for watching TV but maybe I should suggest he uses them when he goes out to play pool at the pool hall. He says they are comfortable to wear but I worry that he thinks they would improve his hearing vs filtering out background noise.

FROM THE INVENTOR
About 3 years ago I started looking more closely at our ears - I wanted to understand how the human ear worked and what I discovered was that there is a significant problem to do with how we hear the quality of sound.
Most of the sound we hear is distorted. We can’t naturally hear high definition sound from the front. It’s simply not possible due to the shape of our ears. Our ears are very good at receiving quality sound from the sides and from devices like headphones as this sound travels straight into our ears bypassing the pinna.
We’ve gone through over 50 prototypes to get it right.
Simply put: Sound that I’m looking at I want to hear in high definition and sound that’s coming from elsewhere I want to blur out and reduce.
EARHD 90 TECHNOLOGY
earHD uses a 60 - 90 degree reception from left to right to focus sound coming into our ears. Simply put: where we look is where we want to hear in high definition, sound coming from elsewhere is blurred out and reduced.
In order to receive higher levels of detail from the front, earHD 90 acts like a satellite dish and diffraction shield combined.
It uses a precise acoustic lens that focuses sound uniformly into one central location. This focused sound is then accurately reflected straight into our ears, revealing higher definition sound from where you are facing. The diffraction shield aspect blocks unwanted higher frequencies from outside the desired 60 - 90 degree reception window that would have otherwise entered our ears at a much higher level which normally damages harmonic reception.
